I just logged on, and was shocked to read this. I am very sorry to hear this, please accept my sincerest condolences. I'll be sure to let some of the local boys who've grown to know your wonderful father of his passing. I hadn't known him all that long or well, but will remember some wonderful conversations about local kids, and about his playing days that he shared stories of. He truly was one of the grand gentlemen of baseball in these parts, and is going to be greatly missed by lots of local people, both inside and out of this great game he loved.

I'm very, very sorry to hear of this. Doug, and your family, will be in our thoughts and prayers.
