I completely agree and feel kids specialize way too much at too early an age these days. We like to mix it up a lot with Water Polo, Surfing, Soccer, Junior Lifeguards, swimming etc.... They all help him with baseball. especially Water Polo with endurance as he is a catcher (right now).

The biggest thing that helped my kid at that age was playing multiple sports... All of it was just him being a kid having fun and competing but looking back:Being a wide receiver in flag football really improved his outfield abilitiesPlaying Basketball gave him more agility and helped his infield playPing Pong improved hand eye coordinationPlaying QB in flag football improved his armUltimate Frisbee improved his enduranceetc   View This Reply High School Baseball Web https://community.hsbaseballweb.com To adjust your email notifications for this site, please update your notification settings.
