Reply to "VHSL Pitching Policy for 2014"

What the rule says, and how Tom Dolan enforced it are two different things.  This is what it says

-          After two days of rest a pitcher may pitch a maximum of two innings.

-          After three days of rest a pitcher may pitch a maximum of three innings.

-          After four days of rest a pitcher may pitch to the limit of the rule.

The pitcher pitched after three days of rest.  He still needs four days rest in order to pitch to the limit.  Using your logic a pitcher could pitch 7, rest for 2, pitch one, then pitch to the limit.  Four days rest is four days rest.  Pitching in a game, even for one inning, is NOT a days rest.
