A good data point helps. From http://www.ncaa.com/news/baseb...-mixed-bbcor-impact: "While it is too early to judge the statistics as a whole, there were some glaring differences, especially in two of the Division I conferences that are known for its power numbers. Atlantic Coast Conference teams hit 47 homers in 38 games during the opening weekend of play last year, but blasted just 18 round-trippers in the same amount of games this season. In the Southeastern Conference, teams belted 44...

I know one player there. He graduated '03 from my son's high school. I also brought my son there for a showcase last year, he is an '04. The player I know is Jordy Bias, he played 3rd baseb for us but told my son recently on a trip home that he is now playing left field. He don't know alot about the school but I know this kid really likes it there.

OAII, Have you looked at Grayson, Navarro, San Jacinto, Weatherford JC's? Also, UT at Tyler, UTSA, UT at Kingville are smaller DI's that play a pretty good level of ball. Chad Sherman is Asst Coach at UT Tyler & was a teammate of my son's, drafted, played minors a couple years. He is EXCELLENT! Re: The 60 time

Bighit15 ·
In baseball you can cut on the inside foot because you have the bag to allow you to lean without losing footing. If you were to try to cut on your inside foot in football at that velocity the foot would just go out from underneath you and you would have to step across your body with the right foot. (assuming that you are cutting left) The bag helps to propel you and make the sharper cut rounded without losing acceleration. If there were no bag, the cut would be very rounded, almost to the...

13U Select 30 Championships Top Prospects 7/30-8/5, 2017

PROBEAGLE ·
Hello All, I'm looking for some feedback regarding this event. My 13U son's coach handed out 3 of these "Golden Tickets" this past weekend at the DFW USSSA Select 30 Super NIT. I realize 13 YOs are a few years away from a meaningful scouting experience and our expectations should be aligned. Other than experiencing his first combine national event such as this, here are few questions I have: 1. How many invitations are given out? Are these tickets given to mostly competitive teams?

Re: UVA National Champs!!

Below are the draft picks from UVA and Vanderbilt. 7 picks for UVA is indeed impressive, but when you look at where they were drafted Vandy was evaluated by MLB standards as the more talented among its draft eligible. Take out pitchers Sborz and Kirby, UVA’s first picked was McCarthy in the 5 th (148) Of course a team can’t be evaluated solely by its draft eligible players as 1 st and 2 nd year players make up the majority of the rosters. One would have to look at those already drafted out...

totally dependent on angle of the foot. If the toe is pointed right at the target probably less of an ill effect. if the foot is at 1:00 oclock and the toe is closed off [toe not pointing at the target but 3rd baseb side for a righty] than there could be a problem. There is room for variances here. It is NOT either all one or the other. Some may land a little more closed but point the toe directly at the target which may mean nothing. Some may be closed in their landing and also have the...

Re: Matching the plane?????

Diablo con Huevos ·
HOLY SCRAP AGAIN! there is no plane of a pitch??? umm... that is the line the ball is traveling from release of pitcher's hand to catchers mit... and posture IS dictated by the BATTER.. he matches planes by hinging on back leg (slightly sitting on back leg) which changes plane of swing, as well as where the front elbow is slotted (higher on lower pitches, lower on higher pitches). and anyone who thinks MLB player hit just TO the ball and not trying to hit THROUGH it is absurd. That is like...
