I am trying to find a place for my 16U son for this summer. We are south of Houston and looking for a team in the Houston area. He is a catcher/infielder. Any information concerning tryouts, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks.

I really hope you are able to find something that works. I am from the Mid-Atlantic and all of our quality program rosters are set in the fall to allow winter workouts and early selection of the tournament / showcase schedule based on the team make up. You may want to begin to contact teams in the local area directly and ask for an individual tryout. We usually keep 1 or 2 slots open for players that move into the area (Picked up a great pitcher who moved from Boston just last week) or someone who missed the extensive late summer and fall tryouts. You may want to check the internet for teams in your area as well as take a look at local or regional tournaments for teams registered and reach out directly to them. Open tryouts might be tough to find. Best of luck and hope you are successful!!!
Colombia Angels / Houston Athletics. Take a look at their websites for info / contacts. They don't set rosters until spring. But contact them now so they can follow your son.
