The 10th Annual DFW Metro Scout League will have tryouts Sunday, August 14 at 4pm at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch 4plex. There is no fee to try out. Please bring your own water and equipment to the tryout.
In the case of rain, the rainout number will be 214 240 0436.
We made 3 changes to the league last year that we feel enhanced the players experience:
1. For the first time in MSL history, position players used metal bats.
2. There were no segregated sessions in 2016. We have historically played the younger players in the morning and the older kids in the afternoon. Like last year, the morning and afternoon sessions will host the best 15, 16,17,and 18u players.
3. Rosters were reduced so players will get more action on the field.
We averaged 25 coaches/scouts per Sunday over the 4 week period and have seen upwards of 40 coaches/scouts on any given Sunday. Because of the talent assembled, the MSL brings the coaches/scouts to the players. There is also no need to travel as we play all of our games in one location.
