Clearly HOF.  A no doubter based on his stats and career.  And good enough to be first ballot, even.  Well, you know, without the steroids.

But the most painful part of your post is the "30 years ago".  How did it go by so quick?

A couple years ago, I watched this special ("Thunder and Lightning") about Rafael Palmiero and Will Clark at Mississippi State.  This was my generation.   I remember these guys and the College World Series.   Even though I played college tennis I was a huge baseball fan.   This is a great story, and you can see all the talent & different temperments these guys had.   Check it out.
