Pretty cool, though I admit I skipped thru it lol. Man, they spent a fortune on costumes lol....and where did they find all those Starter jackets. Looks like they are Ohioans....which makes it even better
Our director is amazing. He designs all the costumes and each one is made to order. Getting all the music copyright is even bigger$$$. Did you notice the name of the field? Rogers Nelson Field? Trivia question: Any ideas?
Well it finally started for my 2021. He was froze to the bench when he got called for his varsity debut. It could have went worse, but I am proud of what he did. He came in with the bases loaded in the 4th inning and no outs. Was able to get out of the inning with minimal damage. He pitched the rest of the game, and grabbed 9 k's Striking out the side 2 times. Did allow 3 runs, but got the W in the end. He said his heart was pumping, especially when he thought he wasn't going to play. He even told us not to come, that he doubted he would see the field. We were glad we went. Now next time he wont be so nervous. I told him to expect the unexpected earlier this year. Now he might listen a little more.
Weather: high 30's and a stiff 15mph wind. Cold still, and I am over it.
Note Taken: First real High School baseball experience. I could not believe how many kids were not swinging the bat with 2 strikes. 7 of his K's were looking, only about 1/4 of those were breaking pitches.
