You make a good point 2020. It is kind of insane.  What's really nutty to me is how many families are still spending $10K+ per year on travelball years after their kids have committed.

It is insane - at least for someone of my financial means.  But it's just hard to tell your kid he has to quit with a couple years left cause it looks like the money is coming from another sport.  Like a lot of people if I had it to do over again...   some things for sure would have been done differently.  For one I may have even spent the same money but I would have spent it on strength and fitness.  Played rec ball and subbed travel ball.  Travel teams are ALWAYS looking for extra pitching.  Probably could have played free all those years subbing for teams.   Now I don't even know what he's going to look like on a baseball field next summer.  He needs to be minimum 270 for football season.  So at least 260 during baseball then I suppose he could pack a little on right before football.  He finished this baseball season in the 230's.  Then got to 250 by opening night.  Which really makes him pretty light for a tackle.  But he is a sophomore so he has time.  Gonna be interesting!   Lol.

All this is making me kinda sad.... and I usually don't get sad... just realized that after four sons,  3 are done playing and all 4 are done with Ft. Myers, USA, PG ( except Jupiter) AC, WWBA, ECP.... and I'm kinda being less important to the 4th one too.  No more travel ball for me......

I have one more high school season and some post high school play for 2018... but nothing like it used to be.
