2018 had labrum repair and capsular reconstruction November 2015 after 2nd dislocation from diving back into a base on a back pick by catcher.  6 or 7 suture with bone anchors used to pull everything back up to normal tightness.

Was released to swing a bat in late February, just in time for Sophomore year tryouts and played DH during HS season.  Started throwing again for Summer ball and played mainly 1B but throwing was still weak.  Son has VERY lax ligaments and post surgery, throwing shoulder is still significantly tighter than non-throwing and requires daily stretching.  After 2 years he is finally getting External Rotation (lay back) back to a nearly normal point for a baseball player.   Throwing velocity is still developing and likely will never catch back up to where he was trending along with some of his peers.  Had been a top LH pitcher in our metro area but now is only OF/1B.  Fortunately the kid can HIT!
