College of Charleston: Matt Heath | High School Baseball Web

Any opinions on College of Charleston's new head coach? My son has been talking with his assistant and we plan to visit in a few weeks. With this being Matt's first year, what should we be looking at?

FWIW, he has a very fine reputation within the college coaching community and was considered ready to take over the reins there.

A former player of mine, 2016 grad, has committed to College of Charleston. He had other major D1 opportunities after Coach Lee left but decided to stay with his College of Charleston commitment because of the new head coach and his relationship with him. I completely trust this kid's judgement, so if your son gets an opportuntiy to play there I think it would be a great opportunity.

When you go and visit "in a few weeks", remember it won't be quite that hot in Charleston in Feb-May! It is such a delightful city!
