Congratulations to the Frederick County National Little League from Stephens City, Virginia -- the USA champions of the Junior League Baseball World Series. The USA Southeast champions defeated Johnston, Iowa 7-4. Virginia will take on the International champion Chinese Taipei team at 1 p.m. Sunday on ESPN for the world championship. See you at Heritage Park in Taylor, Michigan.

Watching it right now, congrats to these boys. So much more enjoyable to watch than LLWS.

Curious, did these boys have to play for their local house/rec league and they then made that leagues all-star team?

In this day and age of Travel (Select)  Ball that's pretty cool if these kids are all buddies from same town.

Are they top talent in area or did those kids stop Rec Ball to move on to Travel?

The majority are the same kids that played on the local 10yr old host team in the 2010 10U Cal-Ripken World Series Team.

They all reside in that southern Frederick County National League district.  Frederick County is split in North and South.  For reference points ... North (Frederick American) is the Clearbrook area and Stephens City (Frederick National) is South.  So the 78K population base (for all of Frederick County) is a little misleading as Frederick County Little League is split into North and South.
