Anybody know what happen here? not a lot of lead time when people had travel planes?

Wow, what happened? My son was considering attending up until a couple weeks ago.
Saw this statement on the Nine Baseball site:
We are very sorry to hear that this event has been cancelled. Please contact Matt at Big League Futures for refund information. Nine Baseball truly apologizes and is very upset at this development. Nine Baseball did not have access to registration or contact information for participants and apologizes for being unable to contact anyone. It is not Nine Baseball’s policy to not communicate with participants well in advance of potential problems with an event. We also traveled form PA to FL to the cancelled event and we are frustrated as well. If I can be of any assistance at this point please contact me at brent@ninebaseball.net
