My son who is a senior and will play AAU baseball in the summer then college fall ball. I was wondering how many bats should he have. He does BP every day either off of a T or soft toss besides games. He uses a wooden bat for practice and his BBCOR bat for games. I think he should have a back up bat for both? What's the consensus guys

i misread the question. I thought he was playing wood bat. My son played wood bat all summer. He needs one BBCOR bat. Buy one wood bat. If it breaks buy another.

I don't think you need a backup bat for the BBCOR. It should be very, very rare that it breaks. You may want a backup bat for the wood one.
