Here's a cool high school baseball connection to the World Series:

Mike Montgomery of the Cubs and Trevor Bauer of the Indians were the no. 1 and no. 2 starters on the 2008 Hart High School pitching staff:

Hart High School had six players who appeared in the majors this year. Amazingly, in 2008, there were 5 future MLB players on campus:
Class 2008: Michael Montgomery
Class 2009: Trevor Bauer, Trevor Brown
Class 2010: Pat Valaika
Class 2011: Tyler Glasnow

Another crazy tidbit . . . Bauer, Brown, Valaika, and Montgomery all went to the same elementary school!
