Me and my high school team will be traveling down to Florida for our "Spring training" a D1 school that I have been in talks with Head coach has told me while im down, any game that I want to go to let him know and he will put me and my coach on the pass list. What does this exactly mean as far as recruitment? Does this happen to lots of players?

Addict, I am "bumping" this thread with the hope it will help get you some responses/insight.  The fact that the HC is staying in touch with you and offering tickets certainly is a good thing - he is showing interest and reaching out with the hope/expectation that you will continue your connection with his program.  I do think this is fairly common - the NCAA rules allow him to give out 2 or so free tickets to recruits and parents, and it is an easy perk for a HC to dole out  - for example, my son and I got tickets to a football game when we were at a DI showcase this Fall.  I would take the HC up on his offer (which shows your continued interest), enjoy the game and say hello to and check in with the HC and position coach when you are there.   Hope it works out!

Addict, you're a 2019, right? What does the HC know about you? Would you consider attending this college?
If you're having direct correspondence with the HC, then there is definitely some level of interest. Those guys get hundreds of emails, and they aren't answering all of them. IMO, you may risk hurting that relationship if you don't attend a game (without a very good excuse). Try to get there as early in your trip as possible to leave more time for something else to happen. That will be a very busy time for the staff, but there's a chance (slim) that he'll ask about your schedule and even send someone to take a look at you. Good luck.
