Here are a few details about 2 events next Summer.

June 28-30th we will host 8 teams and all games will be played at TCU & UTA. This event will be for 2014's.

July 5-7 we will host 12 17U teams and 12 16U teams at Craig Ranch. This event will be Wood Bat. Committed to attend are Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor & Arizona. Wichita State, Texas, Rice & LSU would not give a firm commitment that far in advance, but pending on who is coming, they said they would more than likely be there. Pro guys have expressed intersest as well.

More details to follow: Other venues in the works.

Good job Lynn, I hope we play in both.
Hello All:
It has been a while since this topic was up, but time to move forward. I appreciate all the early response, but did not have enough details to provide everyone. The 2 events here in Dallas will be June 28-30 at UTA and TCU. Each team will receive 5 games and all will be played at TCU or UTA. All teams will be selected and approved by the TCU and UTA staffs.

July 5-7 will be played at Craig Ranch. We are limited to 12 16U teams and 12 17U teams. Each team will receive 5 games. The games will be played at the 4 plex (MSL) and the Gabe. Contact me at 214-577-5222 or email at LynnVanCBM@aol.com.

Thanks,

Lynn Vanlandingham

I want to give an update to how these 2 events went the past 2 weeks.  We had 9 teams at TCU. FW Cats, Dallas Patriots Sherard, Dallas Patriots Valdez, Dallas Mustangs Sharp, DBAT Gallegos, Airhogs, Texas Blackhawks, Oklahoma Fuel and the Dallas Tigers Vanlandingham.  In attendance we had Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Rice, Dallas Baptist, Wichita State, Texas State, TCU, UTA, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Abilene Christian, University of Dallas, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, Tampa Rays and multiple Junior Colleges.  It was a great turnout and UTA and TCU did a first class job in hosting this event.

At Craig Ranch this weekend we had 25 teams and had in attendance OU, Texas, Abilene Christian, Central Michigan, Texas Tech, UTA, TCU, Arkansas, SF Giants, NY Mets, MLB Scouting Bureau and numerous others.  It was a great start to what we hope can be an annual thing for DFW.  The quality of play was great and the quality of people that brought teams could not have been better.  I want to thank all of those that participated and helped make it a success.

DBAT, Dallas Mustangs, FW Cats, Burkburnett Blacksox, Arlington Heat, Airhogs, Oklahoma Fuel, NTXBC Dirtbags, Storm Baseball, Dallas Tigers, Amarillo Titans, Dallas Patriots, DFW Twins.

Special Thanks to Shayne Currin for helping a novice Tournament Director.  Last shout out you ever get from me.

DFW Elite Showcase

Our 2nd annual event has been scheduled and the field is complete.  We will play June 26-29, 2014 at TCU, Dallas Baptist and LaGrave Field.  UTA will not be available as they are renovating the Mav Diamond.  The tournament field is as follows:

College Station 12 2015

College Station 12 2016

Oklahoma Fuel

Mac N Seitz Indians

Mac N Seitz Foster

Columbia Angels

DBAT Gallegos

DBAT Bonesio

Dallas Mustangs Randle

Fort Worth Cats

Amarillo Titans

Dallas Patriots Valdez

Dallas Patriots Stout

Storm Baseball

Burkburnett Blacksox

Arlington A's

Wichita Reds

Airghogs 17U Martin.

This is a great field and will be some great baseball.  There is no admission fee to any of the games and the public is welcome to come watch some great baseball.  All 5 games for each team will be played at 1 of the 3 venues.  Special Thanks to TCU, Dallas Baptist and LaGrave Field for allowing us to put this on for the boys.

The tournament field is set and confirmed.  We have received commitments from Texas Tech, West Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma State, Wichita State, Arkansas, Baylor, Arizona and of course TCU, DBU and UTA that they will be in attendance. I will keep you posted as the other schools confirm their attendance. This couldn't be done without them.

Thanks Guys!!!!
