Strongly disagree. This is just an example of how much bigger faster and stronger athletes are getting year by year. Carl Lewis ran in 1984, 34 years ago!

Hand timed, with a stop watch and I agree. But if it’s on a laser, at both start and finish, then it’s the real deal. Sons times actually improved with the laser (slightly). If it was PG National Showcase, most likely it was on a laser. And filled with draft prospects. So believe.
2015 (+runner) ran indoor track in HS, specifically sprints such as 55m. He was close, but never set school record. He made some finals at meets, but never won. Putting his competition in comparison, he used to tell me there was baseball speed, and there was "track" speed.
