Definitely a classic interview. That was pure unfiltered commentary by both Peterson and Mainieri.

Ok, he wasnt lying, he mislead his coach, and last year at this time in regionals, he was suspended for breaking team rules. I am only repeating in an article that stated that.

I have read 3 different stories. Either way, not impressed.

Yup, he's a big dope and made a freshman mistake... So what? I'm sure Mainieri knew Toddy had very minimal plate-appearances in HS... He recruited him, and I KNOW he never saw him take a swing in HS or summer-ball with the Scorpions... I was there for that too...

It all made for good theater... So much so that Coach 'penciled' him in as the 4-Hole, DH for the next game as a joke...

Yes, it's funny now, but if the outcome was any different Mainieri might not find it so amusing. Right?

Why not just be honest with the guy and be straight up?

I can give you a whole bunch of better feel good stories, but unless you are a player in the top P5, on ESPN, no one really cares.

I am not a big SEC fan. This has nothing to do with LSU, or the coach, I am a players fan.

I am just not a fan of this guy.
