I'm very excited, I get to meet DB2BMom tomorrow night for the first time in person.*** I feel like I know her already, as we have corresponded for years along with a handful of other moms from this site.

I've been thrilled to meet several other "webster" moms in person and I have to tell you, they are some of the nicest and most fun friends you could ever hope to make!

So far I have met in person, in this approximate order of when I met them:

RHPMom (Marcia)
play baseball (Annette)
URKillingMeBlue (Amelia)
luvbb (Kathy)
CatchMm (Susan)
And soon...
DB2BMom (Shirl)

Hmmmm, I know I'm forgetting to list someone!?!?

And I have met a few of the dads and players from the site, and talked with others by phone.

Who have you met from the HS Baseball Web?

Julie

P.S.
*** And we are going to watch her son pitch on a very, very large screen, with the big boys. Smile

Well, I think it is fitting that MN-Mom was the first webster mom that I met! And, it was in Minnesota, no less, when my daughter was playing "the other ballgame"--softball.

I've also met:
Still Learning,
lafmom,
and DB2BMom, on a recommendation from MN-Mom. I hope to hang out with her again when she comes to Chicago....

I've met a bunch of dads (and an uncle). What fun. I agree with MN-Mom wholeheartedly, they are the nicest and most fun friends ever.

My kids think we are nuts. Well, yeah.....but I love it. This is such a wonderful website. Although I may have only met a few people in person, some of the posters here are my best friends. Weird, eh?

Sorry for the intrusion here but couldn't resist...

Most of our relationships here are some form of an identification to a screenname where each one of us kind of imagines what that other person is like.

The other night, I heard Annette's voice for the first time on hsbbweb radio and it was not quite what I had imagined but nice nonetheless. She was direct and had a strong voice. She doesn't sound like she is bashful at all and not afraid to share her opinion. I can imagine her being in charge! Her husband on the other hand (gotwood4sale) sounds kind of like I imagined him. Kind of a west-coasty everyman with a tinge of Eddie Haskell mixed in

I've met some people here and it has been interesting each time. I've met TPM, Bee>, Beezer, Smokey, Backstop17, puma1, fanofgame, and the late Jeff Taylor (JT). Some I've chatted with over the phone include lafmom, luvbb, infielddad, floridafan, and TRhit. Obviously, have met some recently over hsbbweb radio including Coach May, JH, gotwood4sale, play baseball, fanofgame, Three Bagger, and the Sandman.
Ha ha, yes, ClevelandDad, sometimes I am afraid to share my opinion!

Sometimes I even hold my hands over my mouth REALLY REALLy tight.......and sometimes I wish I had held on tighter!

And yes, not usually bashful....but sometimes painfully so......

You do have it right about the being in charge stuff---I've been a substitute teacher primarily in the junior high for 13 years! You bet I'm in charge! I have to be!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

But the woodman is not at all Eddie Haskell-esque.... much more like the Beav.....

I can't wait to meet YOU!
