Best times for me is when my father and I were watching and talking baseball. Hoping my son will say the same thing one day. Being from NC I have to say I love to see Bumgarner win even though he's ruined two  of my world series hopes. I'm an American League guy, he beat the Rangers and the Royals two teams I like.  Can't really say I feel bad for the Giants.  Would love to see Matt Harvey and the Mets win it all.  Exciting times.

As soon as a Jays fan threw something at the Orioles left fielder I had a team to root against. Sure, in a stadium full off fan every team has jerks. But the Jays jerk stepped forward.

The rule should be if a fan throws something at a player the game stops. The fans in the stands must ID the jerk for ejection or the game is forfeited.

Very, very nervous about the Red Sox/Indians game tonight.  This is a must win for the Red Sox with Porcello on the mound @ Clevelend IMHO.

The rest of the Red Sox rotation has not impressed me all year (except Steven Wright who is on the DL).  Pedestrian at best from the mound but studs at the plate.

Long time Tribe fan... this year was all about the rotation.  Well, #1 is nursing a quad strain, #2 and #3 out with injuries, #4 stubbornly lives up and is prone to the long ball, #5 throws slow and lives entirely on spotting - if he is the least bit off, it isn't pretty.  As we stand today, far too many things would have to go just right to advance.

For tonight, I predict Bauer pitching very well at times but giving up some untimely walks and two dings.  Offense needs to come up with at least 5 runs.  Tough task against this year's version of Porcello.

Ha.  I sure thought they'd be in the picture this year.  Love some of the young guys on that team.  I think Altuve has taken the torch from Pedroia at championing for the little guy.  Not that Pedroia has completely let go...

Great game last night! Did you all see the tweet from Matt Sammon (Tampa Bay Lightning broadcaster)?

Verbatim, 2 hours before the HR: "This performance by Noah Syndergaard is just setting up the inevitable game-winning homer by Conor Gillaspie".  It's going to be a great post-season.

I bleed Cubbie blue and have my whole life. Grew up watching them on WGN with my grandpa. Some great memories for sure and I'm so excited to see what the post-season holds. Go Cubs!

Looking forward to the Jays & Rangers here in a couple hours.  I wish Sanchez would be pitching twice, but all the Jays starters have pitched well.  They actually led the AL in ERA overall and also for starters, though I know the Indians had injuries that brought them down...point being, everyone often thinks it's the offense, but the pitching is what has carried them.

The bullpen, that is a big question mark, especially with Benoit injured after being lights out since the trade.  Osuna having shoulder issues, it could make for some uneasy times for 7th-9th inning.  Liriano has been very good, so he will likely help shore up the pen, but will it be enough is the question.

Offense has been the biggest worry for the Jays, but maybe the big ending to the WC game will give them a jolt.

Lastly, the idiot who threw the can will hopefully get prosecuted and banned from not just Jays, but all MLB games forever.  I am not from Toronto, actually grew up and still live near Chicago, and have yet to actually visit Toronto(though a fan since early 80's), but it's true that every fanbase has their idiots.  I'll say that the last few years has painted a poor picture of Jays fans though, probably their frustration more with hockey and the Leafs.

Something that annoyed me last night was turns out the Red Sox game was on cable and I don't get cable. This is one place where MLB is missing the point. They go with the network that gives them the most $$ so us cord cutters don't get to watch. My son who loves baseball ended up watching a football game and he's starting to talk more about trying football when he starts HS next year.

What annoyed me most was the Red Sox.   To sum it up, you missed very little and the football game was probably a better use of your time.   Just when you think the Red Sox have hit rock bottom at the worst possible time, they set the bar even lower.

There was no fight in the Red Sox the last two games in Cleveland.   I saw this coming out of their dugout.  ;-)
