Coach Avent is one of the finest gentlemen in the college coaching business not to mention his baseball ability---I met him back in the mid 90's when he recruited my son to New Mexico State where he was head coach at that time---To this day we still speak regularly, in fact I spoke with him last week.

Coach Avent is one of the most respected coaches in the business---I do not know what more I can tell you other than the player better be ready to work his tail off and then some
