Supposedly some new evidence is coming soon that MLB did in fact change the composition of its baseballs in 2017 in ways that would tend to make said balls more likely to leave the yard:

What do you think?  And do you care if the ball is juiced?  Or am I just desperate for baseball news...?

I wouldn't doubt for a minute that they have changed the structure of the ball to bring back fans they have lost over the years.  Teams have to pay enormous salaries and if you don't sell tickets you can't pay the bills.  The long ball sells seats. Is that a bad thing, not necessarily, but I enjoy the game from a pitching perspective.

This is the first season that I have not watched or attended ONE spring training game. I will do as I did last year, wait until the playoffs and then the WS.

I do care somewhat, and I care about the steroid use that permeated baseball for some time.  The main reason I care, is because guys like Dale Murphy haven't gotten into the HOF, and he should.  The inflated numbers that have resulted from the juiced balls, and the steroid era, have made it look as though he isn't a HOF, and I strongly believe he should be. 398 Home runs used to be a lot, and now it doesn't look like it.
