You are invited to apply for Crab University’s extraordinary winter travel baseball opportunities which will help your development as an athlete.  What makes these opportunities special?  Through showcase tournaments in both Florida and Arizona players will be able to demonstrate their talent for college coaches. In addition to the tournament games, those selected to attend will have the opportunity to attend educational sessions on the NCAA Initial Eligibility Process and social media presence.  Showcase recruiting videos will be produced and provided for each player.

These particular showcase opportunities have been chosen for a number of reasons.  The first reason is exposure.  In addition to the college coaches present at the showcase, the tournament directors share the scouting reports, results and statistics with every college program in the United States. The second reason is the climate.  Many of you have played fall sports or have just recently completed a fall baseball season. Choosing showcases in the warmer climates allows coaches the opportunity to see you play real games, something that is necessary as part of their recruiting process.

The first showcase will be Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend in Goodyear, Arizona at the White Sox and Dodgers Spring Training Complex. The majority of players will be departing from the Baltimore-Washington area, but travel arrangements and costs will be adjusted for those traveling from other areas.  Players are expected to arrive Thursday, January 14th and depart Monday, January 18th.  Over President’s Day Weekend in February players will travel to Vero Beach, Florida for the second showcase. The Florida showcase will require players to arrive early Saturday, February 13th and return Monday, February 15th.

Our goal is to form three showcase teams.  The cost for these opportunities is $1,800.00 as long as air transportation can be arranged for less than $800.00 total. Travel arrangements and costs will be discussed once a player has been selected to attend, and payment plan options are available. Details on payment plans will be available with the registration instructions.  If for some reason you are unable to attend both showcases, but are interested in participating please email crabuniversity@gmail.com to discuss possible options.

Our son had the distinct honor and privilege to play as a Crab University Crabfest All-American last year (2014). This was an experience that always brings a smile to his face because the teams were exceptional in talent and character, the coaches excellent and the competition was the highest caliber and exciting.

NTGson and I can fully endorse and heartily recommend Crab University and its coaches, organization and programs. Superb, caring people, great instruction and high level competition make it all worthwhile.
