Maybe this has been shared on here before (I did a quick search, but didn't find anything). I think it's a great reminder for those of us who are sometimes a little hard on our volunteer coaches (and underpaid HS coaches). I know it's soccer related, but the sentiment can be applied to any sport.

I guess it just hit a chord with me as I mentally prepare for my husband to rejoin the high school coaching ranks this summer. I'm getting ready to hear all about the favoritism, bad decisions and lack of knowledge from the parents on the team (my son is a player in the program, so even if I choose to sit away from the parents, someone will inevitably visit me to tell me everything wrong). Sigh. However stressful it may be,  however, I would not dream of taking this opportunity away from my husband. It's been a long time since he's coached at the high school level, which is something he really enjoys.

Good luck this summer to all the players!
