He was talking to a recruit at a summer showcase: "Don't commit to this school just because you're looking to have a twitter moment next week."
Anyone else have some good coach lines to share?

Best I ever heard was from a Stanford coach trying to convince a kid to go the college route rather than the draft. Speaking to the kids mother: "So, would you rather your son meet his future wife at Stanford or at some low A ball park in the sticks?"
RC to player at a well known showcase: "You're one of the best players out here, but that's not saying much."

Now that's funny - and probably true.
D2 coach speaking to a 16 year old RHP "if you can get to 90 mph we'd definitely want you." (hmmm, yeah, you and at least 25 other D1 schools, coach!!!!)

This is a laugh out loud line. And not a bad selling point.
Uh oh... the sticks is where Cabbage is currently schooling and playing... first few weeks he has already met a few local young ladies with "family aspirations".
A line I've used... "yes, your son is a very good JV player".

Did he not watch Bull Durham? I know it's not exactly a cinematic masterpiece but they DID cover this scenario.
