Not sure if anyone is aware of it (I'm sure PG does), but is exit velo recorded during in-game for batters during a showcase?  or is in game recordings strictly for pitchers.  2018 attended an event and crushed ball multiple times in game, so was wondering if that is considered in the long list of tangible listings when grade/projection is created?

There is a separate part of batting practice where they take the exit velocity reading.  Unlike MLB, there is no way PG or any of these showcases could record it during games, as I believe there is a special device that needs to be used to record it.  And as I am sure you know, the exit velocity is only one reading of many that indicate hitting skills.

Yep, know about the exit velo during the zepp testing, but wasn't sure if the stalker behind home plate read the exit velo off the bat as well (thought the stalker pro gave 3 readings -pitch at release, pitch at plate, and exit velo).  2018 had upper 80's bat speed with low 80's exit velo during zepp test, so was just seeing if they recorded the in game as well.

When we use TrackMan exit velocity is always recorded, but not published. Other than that in game exit velocity is something we get at times, but not often enough to publish it.  If it is a showcase without TrackMan available and we get a good in game exit velocity it will usually go into the written report.

Good to know...Thanks!
