Kudos for PG/Lake Point for offering up their facility for college games that otherwise would have been snowed out.  Great opportunity for everyone concerned to take advantage of snowed out events.   Son got to play at, and we got to see, the lovely facility this past weekend.  Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Northern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Maryland, App State, William & Mary, Norfolk State, Holy Cross, Iowa, and more, were there this weekend.  I think Tennessee was there last weekend.  I recognized a few, but someone told me no less than 20 pro scouts were there.  I am sure college coaches were scrambling to get games in on the 4 fields, thus the 9pm games times (college kids should have been at their peak about then - lol).

PG is running it (or, posting results) like a tournament, from February to May, and it looks like more teams are being added.

Gate fees were reasonable ($5/day/pp); had to pay to park ($5) one day, but not the other; facilities were spotless; scoreboard was hard to read for these aged eyes even with glasses;  concession stand had a few select items and ran out one evening (cold weather, last two teams playing that evening so it was understandable).  Chick-fil-a on site and McD's and Subway right next door.  Glad we got to experience it since son aged out of the WWBA this past year.  Not sure when the onsite hotels will be open, but it didn't look like soon enough for this summer.

Plus, Cartersville right down the road has some of the best restaurants (City Cellar and Appalachian Grill) and a top notch museum affiliated with the Smithsonian.

Glad I got to go back, one last time (I hope no more snow!!!)
