Welcome to the Site: PaBBDad: Good baseball guy (Jordano) who built D2 Mercyhurst (PA) into a powerhouse in his hometown (Erie). I think he knew it would be a rough go entering ACC. I would be shocked if he weren't re-upped in contract given how he's built the Pitt program too and they are only 3 years from his fantastic 2013 season. Great field (turf) which absorbs water well (son was at a showcase there). Coach Jordano does much with the Top 96 showcases across the country. The encounters we had him were good; seemed to be a real straightshooter. I went to graduate school at Pitt. The town has much to offer as well.  Good luck on your son's recruitment.

Don't know much about PITT, and not sure who your recruiting experience is with, but I had some contact with Coach Peters a few years back when he was at High Point. Good guy, but a bit hot and cold with his recruiting patterns. It was hard to gauge his level of interest because at times it was solid, then he would vanish for a month.

He ended up signing a kid out of Florida and I was not notified until I was invited by the HPU head coach on an unofficial visit. I actually was told that they had signed this guy while I was there, which bothered me because no one is necessarily looking to be brought into a position battle unless it is their #1 choice IMO. It could've been handled better, but a situation that I know occurs from time to time when a need is there and you have a couple of targets. That situation aside, Coach Peters was a cool guy and I enjoyed speaking with him on a handful of occasions. Seemed like a good guy to play for.

I haven't really followed, but I would guess Pitt's adjustment to the ACC wasn't the smoothest. However, Jordano has built them into a decent program and I would be surprised if they let him go next year. But that is always a possibility and a question to ask if you continue this process with them. Ask the questions you need to ask and if a staff has issue with them, that isn't the fit anyways. Find out if this is where he plans to be long term, if there have been discussion about an extension, things like that. You need to know as much about them as they do your family and son.

Bombsquad.  Thanks good advice.   I did ask and Jordano  says he's in negotiations now.   I'd hope they would give him some more time.  Acc is a  different game for sure.    We like peters as well.   Lots of energy.  Seems like he'd be a good guy to play for.

dadof3.  Would really rather not say right now.   Hope you understand
