Pudue's claim to fame is engineering. I know a man who walked onto the team and had quite a nice career there. He took 5 years to graduate. Actually was a redshirt his sophomore year. Took 5 years to graduate.

Anything I know about the baseball program is outdated. The Engineering program is top notch. My dad graduated from Pudue, on a full ride scholarship. (I inherited my athletics ability from him, So no not athletics were involved. ) He received a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

Son Applied and was accepted but chose Ohio State instead. It is a state school and the tuition for out of state was not terrible. But could not come close to Ohio State.

Non of this probably helps you, and I am sorry for that, but it keeps your question at the top of the list.

My oldest, not playing baseball son, is a jr. at Purdue in accounting.  He loves it there.  He started off at MSU and transferred to Purdue (long story).  He feels like he is getting a better education at Purdue.  He had a great internship with a large accounting firm in Chicago, our hometown, last semester.  They have invited him back next summer and told him he will have a job when he graduates.

I think the business program at Purdue is overlooked.  From everything I have seen its very good.  Good class sizes as well.

PM me if you have specific questions.

I know the games are surprisingly well attended in a nice little ballpark. About 1000 a game. As the program improves will draw even better I would think. To me that's important cause there are a group at the top that draw well but overall relatively few schools that boast 1000 a game. Would be fun.
