No - I could list quite a number of schools our sons got them from that had no real interest - just seemed to come off a mailing list from an event or someone's database.

However, whether they're interested yet or not, if your son is interested in them he should fill it out and return it with a personal letter as to why he is interested in that school.

No.

As Just noted, the player should fill out the baseball questionnaire for every school that is on his vetted list, i.e., the schools he is targeting.

Additionally, the player should fill out the Admissions questionnaire / information request form for every school that is on his vetted list.

The student athlete should be in both the baseball and the Admissions database at the schools on his list.  And he should be in contact with the baseball coaches and his Admissions rep.

As a 2019, at the stage of a coach sending out a questionnaire, it is because the school is building a list and got son's name from some event, coach, etc. If you have any interest in school, send it back.

From my son's vantage point, he was the one initiating questionnaires, completing on-line questionnaires for each school he had interest. He would follow that up with an introductory e-mail, which would tell a little about himself and why he was interested in the school. Most of the initial questionnaires were completed during sophomore year. You will see a link for the online questionnaires at most college baseball pages.   Good luck!
