What is required at your school to get a varsity baseball letter before the senior year?

I presume most schools give seniors a varisty letter just for playing one game, but what about younger kids? Pitchers?

Son should receive a varsity letter for each year rostered on the Varsity Team.
That's how they do it here.

Our HS uses a percentage of games. It is different for position players vs pitchers. Coaches do a good job getting kids into games. Pinch hitting, running, and etc.
Many dress varsity but drop down and play JV.

I'm sure it varies school to school but if you make the team and contribute either on the field or from the bench you should have "earned" that letter.

To many times numbers are associated with the letter but in my mind a letter earned is the reward from a coaches respect of you as a team member.

Excellent post. We reward players based upon "significant contributions either in varsity contest or practice."
