NFHS - reflective helmets not permitted.

SECTION 5 PLAYER EQUIPMENT ART. 1 . . . It is mandatory for on-deck batters, batters, runners, retired runners, players/students in the coaches’ boxes as well as non-adult bat/ball shaggers to wear a batting helmet that has a non-glare (not mirror-like) surface and meets the NOCSAE standard at the time of manufacture

With some of the angles on today's batting helmets, the FIU helmets looked awfully sparkly - bedazzled almost.  I assumed they must be legal but wondered whether there was a line that could not be crossed on the finish assuming the helmet met the necessary specifications.

I wonder if someone is responsible for shining them up before each game.  They all looked like they were all fresh out of the box.
