I think PD has his tongue firmly inserted in his cheek...I think he has a pretty good idea which club the ones from the metroplex came from.

Why are those two highlighted in red, what does that have to do with the conversation.

Ahhh, I get it, summer ball as in SUMMER BALL... DUH - Wasn't Bettis a Knight/DBat??

And, since I took this in another direction with my first post (rookie) let me correct myself. Bettis played this PAST summer for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape, 3- 0,ERA 2.68, 43.2IP, 35H, 13ER, 17BB, 39K

Uhh, yeah, I was referring to HS summers....I guess I'm more transparent than I thought. I think both guys played in Farmington in 2007.

When we merged the Knights & Dbat in 2004 we were the Dbat Knights that fall. Dropped the Knights after the fall to go with just Dbat. Ah, the good old days......

Years later we have s-o-l-e-s selling to devils, Marshalls riding Mustangs, and the Black and Blue trading their flag for the Red, White, and Blue.

It's funny how things happen.

But in the end, we all can have memories of different kinds. Some create a "Wall of Fame" of sorts to portray success. Others debate to find the best team or player in history. Some simply cherish the little things that aren't tangible or visible.

The 7U Knights are having a ball, thanks for asking. Good instruction, lots of fun and we're keeping it cheap for the families. Wait until you see the unis and gear....my friends at Dbat should be duly impressed. Our little team is actually taking a road trip to Austin in April to see Workman as well as Thomas, Rupp and the rest of the Horns play Kansas State. Hope we end up with some boys that turn out to be like the kids on this list.

Gut, I recall that conversation like it was yesterday. You would be proud to know that out of all the player nicknames on this year's team we have a 'Peanut'.
