The Strasburg Express of the Valley League will be managed this summer by former New York Yankee Charlie Hayes. Hayes visited Strasburg for a week last summer, assisting with camps and acting as an assistant coach.  His son, Ke'Bryan, was drafted in the first round of the MLB draft by the Pirates and will be playing this summer with the Pirates A club, the West Virginia Power, in Charleston, West Virginia, about 4 hours from Strasburg.   By agreement, Charlie will step away a few nights to go see his son play. Hayes played for 6 teams in his 13 year MLB career and caught the last out in the 1996 World Series for the Yankees. He runs the Charlie Hayes Big League Baseball Academy in Tomball, Texas, which has a long list of D-1 baseball alumni. The Express won the VBL Championship in 2015.
