I'm sorry, I know this topic is covered elsewhere, but can someone easily tell me when D1 and D2 coaches can talk to athletes and their families? Son is a 2018, and has had a couple of coaches at almost every game he pitches. I've looked at the NCAA rules, but can't quite understand what is allowed and what isn't.

Thanks.

I know D1 is September 1 of their junior year and I believe D2 might even be slightly before that. You should have no issues if he's a 2018.

But i think when they come to games, there are different timelines?

this confuses me as well- the site linked above says for "Junior Year" about phone calls "You can receive one per week starting July 1st after your Junior year" so since Junior year doesn't end until around May , the July 1st after junior year would mean just before senior year, correct? so it sounds like you can get recruiting info via mail or email, but no phone calls till you're almost starting senior year?
