Our 16u is heading to the Black Swamp next weekend, and all our coaches have said this will be our hardest tournament of the year. Looking on their website, it says there are usually 80+ college and pro scouts there.
Has anyone had experience with this tourney? Are the scouts/competition level really that high??

My son's team is there at 18U. I live 45 minutes from BG. The tourney has been around for a long time. They're doing a much better job of getting top teams than they used to...especially at 16U. I ran an "invitation only" 15U/16U tourney in 2012 and 2013 the same weekend as the Black Swamp...and 20 miles away. Our top 4 teams would have beaten every team in the Swamp those two years. Looking at this year's schedule, the 16U division is strong...much better than in the past. Not sure about the 80+ scouts thing. My son played in some of the top events around last summer...and we never saw 80 scouts at a tourney. That number seems a bit high...but I guess we'll see next weekend. Oh...and make sure you hit Myle's Pizza at least once...you can thank me later...lol
We were there with a younger team, a couple years ago. Same complex as the older teams. While I did see a few college scouts, watching the older boys, I saw only about four scouts/coaches.
