NR beats Denbigh 6-0.  Fitzwater went 7 innings with 11ks against 0 walks.  Rivers was 3-4 with two doubles and a triple.  While there hasn't been a complete offensive eruption yet this season; on balance, the bats have steadily gotten warmer.

As an aside, Denbigh is a solid group.  I will be surprised if they aren't one of the top 2 seeds in the postseason.  That with the understanding that KF is one game up at present.

Hickory 4-0 over Indian River. UVA commit Eason throws 1 hitter, 12Ks, M.Polansky solo homer in bottom 1st. S. Polansky crushes next one to fence but IR center fielder Fuqua robs him of potential triple. Next time the brothers come to plate, IR coach brings in Fuqua to face them. M.Polansky singles on 1st pitch and on 1-2 count S.Polansky doubles. Fuqua returns to CF, starter takes mound again.

Never seen that before: no substitutions made, just position swaps in field. Didn't work for IR. Or maybe it did, neither brother hit it over the fence.
