Been a very stressful week for wife and I... and especially our 2018

A week filled with back and forth optimism and doubts.

Happy to report he made the freshman team.

However not before he purposely walked out of the school WITH HIS BAG to fool his mom waiting in the car to pick him up. LOL!

But boy he was a PIA this week

Just going to enjoy the ride!

Good for him.  It can be a very stressful period.  I know from basketball season, it sucked.  Mine made it to, but it was less stressful as baseball is his better sport.  Our biggest stress is if they are going to keep the No. 1 pitcher down or move him up.

Thank you and to you as well! How did yours go?

Thanks for asking. Went well. Should be a busy Varsity year as son was told to expect to play multiple positions and pitch this year. Looking to repeat as State Champs!

I've had two son go "through the system" and I don't remember ever having weather this nice at the get go.  It's usually snow flurries or cold rain and wind.

I have a question for all.  I'm looking for wood bat tournaments (probably this summer) that are large(lots of teams) and have a "central venue", meaning a main field that everyone comes to or plays at.  Borst Field in Centralia is a great example.  I'm asking because I make the Powerwood baseball bat here in Bend.  One aspect of our marketing is going to tournament and selling and we also have bats for guys to use as demos.  "Trying is buying" as we say because its a noticeable difference.  There are so many tournaments and the information is piecemeal and hard to put together.  Thanks in advance for any help.  John MacDougall - MacDougall Bats.

Agree on the weather. It's been amazing, but I keep thinking we are going to get paid back for it somehow. Spring Break is in a couple weeks. It will probably snow.

I would be interested in checking out your bats if you keep us posted on where you end up this summer. We've been looking at your bats online (it's a big plus that they are manufactured "locally") and would be interested in seeing them in person.

Our high school holds a 3-day wood bat tournament each summer and there are 8-10 teams in attendance. All the games are played at our HS complex. Not sure if you would be interested in something like that or if you are looking for something bigger. I know other high schools in the Portland Metro area host similar sized tournaments during the HS summer ball season as well.

Good luck!
