ttech,

It has been a good deal for us. It depends on the kid. If he truely loves the game and wants to play ball the whole summer and do nothing but play ball all summer, then he will enjoy it. My son went last summer and came back a better ballplayer (first team all district this year)and he matured quite a bit having spent the summer pretty much on his own (living in the dorm). He is returning this summer with the goal of getting noticed and signed by a college. All or most all of their seniors end up signing to play ball somewhere.

(wanted BK last summer, but he needed some exposure out of the area so he played on Knights)

... but this year it's a great chance for him to play closer during the week. They have practices and workouts with instruction in bull pen ...will be nice to fine tune things before heading to college.

They are the team to play on in our area .... nice gentleman and expects respect, and hard work...

I've watched him recruit for years. They could keep up with most Dallas area teams.

This fit our son's needs...

and fit the need of the team...

again it's about "fit."

Well from the looks of this, no web folks' kids are playing summer ball. Either that, or people are ashamed of the team their kid is playing for. I noticed a lot of the local teams that have a website have their rosters hidden. What is the big secret? I would like to see who is playing where, I might want to go watch some games. But not if I don't know any of the players.

The staying in a dorm team is the Burkburnett Blacksoxs Academy. They have a complete baseball facility with dorms and have been around since 1976. Players stay at their facility and play/do nothing but baseball all summer with the end goal being the Connie Mack World Series.

They just opened a new facility last year or the year before called the Gomez Facility with indoor cages/mounds/weight room and dorm rooms.

My son attend a summer 1 week camp up there last year as a 14yo and just loved it. It was baseball 24/7. There isn't a pool, no distractions it is pure baseball with dedicated players and coaches. I have added their website below:
