My son was selected for the 14u event last year from the same tournament. There was a way to see who had been invited once the event was added to your son's player profile. For the most part, they were inviting the right kids. A lot of good players off of good majors teams.
They ended up cancelling the event and all of the select 30 events. It was their first year and in my opinion they were not prepared and tried to rush it and someone pulled the plug on it. They answered my initial phone call and answered all of my questions. From there, the response via email, text or phone was pretty much non-existent.
We signed our son up to play in the event after the first phone call. I felt like he would enjoy the experience and we like going to Dallas so were were going to make a weekend trip out of it. Everything has a cost and it is up to each family to determine the value of the events.
