I don't even like to look at my indicator when doing the plate (I never have one on the bases). I cut notches in the wheels so I can zero the balls & strikes for a new batter without looking at it. When I need to look at it, I make a slight adjustment to my mask and sneak a peek then. It just looks bad to be clicking away with your head down.
