Reply to "2004 Draft"

"Randall signed a NLI with every intent of going to Baylor unless he was given life changing money. That is what we told Coach Smith and we had no reason to change that position. All the scouts that I spoke with were given a round or bonus money it would take to get him to sign, obviously knowone felt he was at that level. We did receive two calls during the draft to see if our position had changed and if we would sign for a certain amount, we declined. We aren't interested in a DNF, playing in Baylor is going to be a great atmosphere and close to home. Don't get me wrong we would have loved to hear Randall's name called out, but we will wait 3 years and see what happens."

8Baugh Dad, I admire that yall stuck to your guys during the draft. As a big Baylor baseball fan and supporter I am excited about Randall being a Bear and am looking forward to watching him play next year. The Baylor ballpark is indeed a special place and next year has a chance to be a special season.

Congrats and good luck.
