I was looking at a bunch of D1 rosters. A few had over 45 players listed, most were 36-40. Of course, no way to know if that includes freshman walk-ons unless you happen to know one personally. Interestingly, some rosters listed last year's freshmen as freshmen, some listed them as sophomores.
