What you have described about NIL is the sane way that was intended for athletes to make money.

TT announced that he was leaving NCState for closer to home and 3rd base and NIL money without entering the portal. Then the FSU coach was gone. Then he was going JUCO. Then he entered portal picked up by LSU. Probably the same deal as he had with FSU.

Really doesnt sit well with a lot of folks.
