Things get tougher every year. More kids throw 90, more kids throw 95. At my son’s D1 this fall, every freshman pitcher (9 of them) threw at least 94. There are 24 pitchers on the roster, so a good portion of them aren’t going to play. You need velo but have to have more than that.
