Reply to ""a professional""

He did an interview on MLB network with Bob Costas recently.  One of the things he said that stuck with the me most was about doing things "the right way".  I can't remember exactly what he said, but the general gist was that players need to go about their profession the right way.  He said if 80% of players are doing things the wrong way...it's STILL the wrong way.  More people doing the wrong things doesn't make them right.

He also talked about a game where he got frustrated and broke a bat, then immediately regretted doing so.  In fact, he penned a letter to the maker (not the manufacturer...the maker) of the bat and apologized for his disrespectful treatment of the equipment.

Excellent interview, class act and a great player/professional.
