A few years ago, when I visited at the ABCA Convention two great left handed hitters conducted a Clinic attended by 1,000 coaches and visitors.

Tony Gwynn & Don Mattingly. The moderator ask Don to speak. "He said I can predict my pitch". Yes, "when I crowd the plate I know the pitch will be inside" and I think "be quick". "When I move off the plate, I know the pitch will be outside then I focus on left center field".

Tony said "I work up and back".
