If a coach offers a baseball scholarship does he normally help with the academic scholarship process too or is that up to the player to work out with admissions? I assume admissions would not be able to give any academic scholarship offers until the player actually applies and gets accepted, etc? And that isn't normally until their senior year, right? I just wondered if a 2011 or 2012 player makes a verbal commitment early would he have any idea whether he'd be eligible for any academic scholarship until his senior year when he can apply?
