I was also curious if the fact he didn't show well could influence future ratings. We went to a D1 college showcase 3 years ago for some fun and early exposure. I thought he hit pretty well - about average for many - but he was the only one with a wood bat. When he talked to the coach he had him as low- average hitting and didn't reference anything in his notes at the time about a wood bat. I know there a re different dynamics re money with many of these, but he was disapointed in the response. Another good learning experience though- never bring a knife to a gun fight, which is what he may be doing if he goes less than 90%.
